Week Six Update: Asset creation and lighting polish

My main focus for this week is lighting and asset creation.

Below are some work in progress of the models I worked on. I always keep in mind the shape consistencies for each of the model as I do the block out. I also worked on a robotic arm model but it didn't quite work out with the topology.

For our environment we added in more textures decals and minor details in the wall. There were a lot of set backs in terms of the camera settings.

I also added in a volumetric light but for some reason it doesn't show up in the render. I will have to go work at Monty since my laptop doesn't really handle raytracing that well now that we have a huge texture stream.


This was my failed render. The lighting is a little off and raytracing weren't calculated properly but there is volumetric light.

We implemented camera depth of field and motion blur, too, last week as suggested by the mentors.


As for the set dressing, I still need to repopulate the shelves as they don't look as realistic right now. I have been looking at a lot of references for garage shelves and will work on it this upcoming week
